Here we are! The X Factor 2024 Live Shows start this evening.

THE SHOW AND THE JUDGES

Hosting the show is Giorgia, making her debut at the solo helm of a live show after the selection episodes in which she demonstrated empathy with the contestants backstage and showed all her emotion on stage.

A close-knit, amused and competent jury will sit at the table, who will have the task of leading the boys week after week on this journey: Achille Lauro, Jake La Furia, Manuel Agnelli, Paola Iezzi “challenge” each other in a competition that sees them lead as many teams made up of three artists each. They will be the ones to follow, personally and in agreement with the competitors, all the phases of creation and realization of the performances.

The four judges and the 12 kids will immediately show their cards in the first Live Show, on the evening of Thursday 24 October: the competing artists will be divided into two heats in which they will perform covers of songs by very popular artists on the Italian and international music scene. In the following weeks, the much-loved themed heats will return, the orchestral heat, the carousel – the shortest heat of the season, during which the competitors will perform their pieces in a sort of very fast chain without pauses between one and the other – and obviously the episode in which the unreleased songs of the boys still competing will be presented.

On the ballot: Pablo Murphy

Lorenzo Salvetti – Margherita (Riccardo Cocciante) – Rating 7.25 – What can I say… Talent!

PUNKCAKE – Police On My Back (The Clash) – Rating 7.00 – Pure punk. Fun, credible, unconventional.

Frankly – Promises (The Cranberries) – Rating 7.50 – Essential, intimate, heartfelt, direct, emotional. Good.

Pablo Murphy – We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Taylor Swift) – Rating 4.00 – Does not work in Swift version. Paraculate choice but little, little, little working.

EL MA – Rise (Katy Perry) – Rating 6.50 – Done and done as a pop star. Vocally valid. Aptitude and potential.

I PATAGARRI – Hallelujah, all jazz musicians! (Aristocats soundtrack) – Rating 7.00 – Perfect, they sound great. From Big band. Outside the box. Difficult for the market but it doesn't matter.

FIRST RUN

They go to the ballot: Craving Dimension

Mimì – Don't Beat the Girl Out of My Boy (Anna Calvi) – Rating 6.50 – Voice always super rich in colors and nuances. Sophisticated choice. He could have easily won with another song. He must find his balance.

Dimensione Brama – Summer is ending (Righeira) – Rating 6.25 – I like the collective's sound proposal on this song too. Wind instruments and melancholy in a retro version. Maybe a little confused…

Danielle – Milan and Vincenzo (Alberto Fortis) – Rating 6.50 – He has a unique and unmistakable vocal timbre. I wasn't crazy about the arrangement of the piece and the performance. Worth seeing again here too!

Les Votives – Are You Gonna Be My Girl (Jet) – Rating 6.50 – The right song for the trio. Well staged, well played and well executed dirty rock and roll overall. Precise task!

LOWRAH – Hey Mama (David Guetta Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack) – Rating 6.00 – The voice is there, the attitude too, the stage presence ditto. Maybe the assignment didn't convince me. Hardly definable, worth seeing again!

The Foolz – 90 minutes (Psalm) – Rating 6.25 – Not bad even if there is something that didn't convince me in the Salmo cover. Too rock, maybe a little more hardcore and rough essence was needed.

Giorgia – Rating 8.50 – Always perfect and exciting voice even in a super dancefloor and party version!

GUEST OF THE FIRST LIVE

Guest of the first Live will be Ghali, among the most iconic artists of his generation with his mix of languages, influences and aesthetics. With 58 Platinum Records and 18 Gold Records under his belt, at the last Sanremo he conquered everyone with “Casa Mia” (Triple Platinum Record) and dominated the summer in music by climbing the charts with “Paprika” (Double Platinum). He has just released the new single “Niente Panico”, the result of an intense personal journey, a reflection of his sincerity and the growth experienced in recent years. Ghali will be in the first Live Show of #XF2024 a few days after his return to the Unipol Forum in Milan, where he has three unmissable dates scheduled (28 and 29 October, which immediately sold out, and 15 November), which add to the others appointments of the “GHALI – LIVE 2024”, tour in the most prestigious arenas in Italy which will also touch Vigevano (PV), Florence, Rome, Bologna and Naples.

ON AIR

The X Factor 2024 Live Shows will be every Thursday at 9.15pm on Sky Uno and streaming on NOW, always available on demand and visible on Sky Go; on the Tuesday following the first on air they will then be shown at 9.30pm on TV8, at button 8 on the remote control.

The events accompanying the X Factor season are back again this year:

– each Live Show will be preceded by the special and unmissable appointment with the Ante Factor, hosted by the very confirmed Gianluca Gazzoli live from the backstage a few meters from the stage, which in a few minutes will allow us to enter the already very hot climate of the X Factor Arena thanks to the live voice of competitors, judges and guests;

– the daily strip that accompanies Live, X Factor Daily, already broadcast on Sky and streaming on NOW from Monday to Friday at 7.20pm and always available on demand;

– the Wednesday appointment, at 9.15pm on Sky Uno and streaming on NOW, with the Road To, the recap of the journey of the X Factor 2024 contestants: rewatch of the performances, the assignment of the new songs, the rehearsals in the room, until the stage was turned on for studio rehearsals.
