Floyd Mayweather was a guest on the Pivot Podcast on Tuesday, February 20, alongside NFL players Ryan Clark, Fred Taylor, and Channing Crowder.
In response to recent allegations of sexual assault against P. Diddy by his ex-wife, which were ultimately settled out of court, Floyd Mayweather declined to comment further on the matter. He stated, “Mistakes happen. P. Diddy’s business is his own. It’s not my job, or anyone else’s, to go on the internet and kick a man when he’s down. I think it’s not my business.” While Mayweather does not condone the rapper’s actions, he is willing to forgive “because P. Diddy is a black man.”
Following backlash from social media users, Mayweather further explained his stance by using his daughter as an example: “Even if it happened to my daughter, I would be hurt, but that’s the choice my daughter made. So I don’t want to kick someone when they’re down.”.
