Watch Travis Scott in ‘Aggro Dr1ft’ Trailer

Music news

The future of cinema, Travis Scott’s music and aesthetics gamer collide in a unique cinematic experience.

The filmmaker’s latest masterpiece Harmony Korine, Aggro Dr1ft, has burst onto the film scene boldly fusing the seventh art with aesthetics gamer and the innovative music of Travis Scott. The film premiered in Venice Film Festival in 2023.

The film, shot entirely with thermal cameras, presents Travis Scott and Jordi Molla as hitmen in a dystopian world full of violence and challenges. The story follows a murderer in Miami Beach, played by Molla, while undertaking the tireless search for his next goal. The narrative, accentuated by three-dimensional animations and visually explicit language, transports the viewer to a universe reminiscent of multiplayer video games such as world of warcraft either Fortnite.

The collaboration between Travis Scott and Korine is not new, since both worked together in Circus Maximusa film accompaniment to the album Utopia. The choice of Scott for the project was based on his ability to create worlds through his music, which perfectly complemented the vision of Korine.

Definitely, Aggro Dr1ft It’s not just a movie; It is an experience that marks the beginning of a new era in the convergence between cinema, music and video games. Its premiere in Venice Festival generated high expectations, and now, with screenings in unusual venues like strip clubs in Los Angeles, the film continues to challenge conventional expectations of contemporary cinema.
