Music news

Foo Fighters performed “ Rescued ” And ” The Glass » with HER on Saturday Night Live.

For Foo Fighters’ ninth appearance on Saturday Night Live, Dave Grohl and his cohorts remembered what is now their most viral SNL appearance: Christopher Walken, (who was making his first SNL appearance since 15 years old) introduced the group.

Walken’s presence was important because, in a now-viral interview on Radio name :

More than 20 years after that meeting (the episode in question was from February 2003), the band reunited with Walken as he delivered the band’s first performance of the evening, ” Rescued » from the album But Here We Are.

Walken wasn’t the only surprise guest: For Foo Fighters’ second performance, HER joined the band on vocals and guitar on ” The Glass “.

Foo Fighters’ last appearance on Saturday Night Live was in November 2020, during a cathartic post-election episode of the show. On Saturday, they made their ninth appearance as musical guests.

The band will visit ten cities for their stadium tour Everything or Nothing at All next summer, with special guests like the Pretenders and the Hives. Mammoth WVH, Alex G, Amyl and the Sniffers and L7 will also make occasional appearances.
