Vitaa opens up like never before in the documentary “Vitaa: My name is Charlotte”

Music news

The documentary “Vitaa: My name is Charlotte” offers an insight into the singer's private life, which retraces her journey punctuated by obstacles that she has always overcome.

Vitaa with an open heart. Echoing her latest album, whose title soberly takes up her real first name “Charlotte”, the singer Vitaa tells her intimate story in the documentary “Vitaa: My name is Charlotte”, sharing her story enhanced with archive images and unpublished testimonies from those close to him and in particular from Slimane and her husband, Hicham.

“Phoenix”, “artist apart”, “symbol of hope”… There is no shortage of qualifiers in the entourage of the multi-awarded artist to comment on her career. A trajectory punctuated by difficulties and doubts that Vitaa was able to overcome. This documentary brings together personalities as diverse as Amel Bent or Carla Bruni, Dadju, Gims, Matt Pokora and Tony Parker.

Vitaa: an extraordinary journey

From her beginnings to her first successes, through her proximity to the rapper Diam's and the explosion of the title “Confession nuit”, then the success of the album “VersuS” with her friend Slimane, Vitaa talks about her career, of course, but also and above all the woman who hides behind the singer. The one who faces challenges, including the recent homejacking of which she was a victim and which turned her life upside down.

“Vitaa: My name is Charlotte” can be discovered this Friday, November 22 at 9:25 p.m., on TMC, in partnership with WECB.
