VASCO BRONDI releases “Meccanismi” with ARIETE

Music news

Mechanisms it's the new single from the album “Un segno di vita” (READ THE REVIEW) by Vasco Brondi, in an unreleased version that sees the singer-songwriter collaborating with ARIETE for the first time.

“Meccanismi” with ARIETE is the unprecedented meeting of two apparently different artists who have managed to give life to a unique and surprising collaboration: the result is the perfect fusion of two voices that have always told their respective generations with authenticity.

“Meccanismi” is a song that captures the attitude of those who activate the mechanisms of the heart – the levers that make everything bearable – without fear of showing the intensity of their desire to live. “Meccanismi” tells the story of the extraordinary nature of those who are able to perceive the most intense emotions in everyday life, without fear of living them in close contact with the intensity of their own feelings.

Meccanismi is a love song with the sounds of the city in the background. I thought of Ariete for this collaboration because in her songs – even when they seem like intimate conversations in unmade beds – the noise of the city or its silence enters. In Meccanismi there are advertising signs, monumental trees. A person undecided between rebuilding her life in a small town or in a city so big that it can be seen from space. A person who opens her heart in record time. Jung says that the greatest hallucination of the human race is to believe in the separateness between human beings, the protagonist of this song does not believe it. She lives intensely, openly. It was a joy to share this song with Ariete, to hear her sing up close while she recorded, to feel the breath of life that she puts into her songs” says Vasco Brondi.

I immediately felt this song was mine. Working together in the studio was very stimulating and the richness of our meeting is that beyond our belonging to different generations we both believe it is essential to carry forward the voice of the singer-songwriter, always putting our feelings and our face into it” says ARIETE about this new collaboration.

This album represents for the singer-songwriter the beginning of a new path compared to the one that led him here and from those songs was born an album that touches on unexplored sounds and territories, in which Vasco Brondi confirms his ability to mix a dynamic and never predictable sound with lyrics that appeal to the humanity of each of us.

THE SOUNDTRACK

Autumn 2024 will bring Vasco Brondi fans two more gifts: for the first time ever Vasco Brondi has tried his hand at writing a soundtrack and has signed the original music for “MY FLOWER”, the debut film written, directed and performed by the writer Paolo Cognetti and previewed on August 6th at the Locarno Film Festival. For the occasion Vasco Brondi also wrote and performed an unreleased song, “Ascoltare gli alberi”, included in the film’s closing credits.

Produced by Samarcanda Film, Nexo Studios, Harald House and EDI Effetti Digitali Italiani with the support of the Film Commission Vallée d'Aoste, the film “FIORE MIO” will hit theaters on November 25, 26 and 27.

THE TOUR

Furthermore, after the success of the spring club tour that recorded several sold outs and the tour of the main summer festivals, Vasco Brondi will close 2024 with a big concert on December 2nd at the Alcatraz in Milan, to celebrate the ten years of “Costellazioni”, the album released in March 2014 with his previous project, Le Luci della Centrale Elettrica.
