American superstar Usher unveils Coming Home, his first studio album in six years, in which he shows that he has not lost his talent as a singer.
With 80 million albums sold, Usher has made himself desired in recent years. It was therefore six years after A that Coming Home, his ninth studio album, was released. The fans’ patience is rewarded with no less than 20 tracks, more than an hour of R’n’B performed with the singer’s famous vocal signature, surrounded by a plethora of guests. In addition to Summer Walker and 21 Savage on the now known “Good Good”, we also find Afrobeat and dancehall singer Burna Boy on the opening track, R’n’B singer HER on the delicate “Risk It All” , without forgetting the rapper Latto on “A-Town Girl”, an astonishing cover of the classic “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel.
In a sunny and festive atmosphere, the singer sings his songs with the vocal ease that we know him to be. Against a backdrop of modern sounds, Usher shows that his sense of interpretation is matched only by his ability to reach the high notes, carried by choirs and vocal arrangements of which he has the secret. If the guests follow one another, the star always occupies a central place, with a wide vocal range. Eager to spoil his fans, Usher delivers a generous and dense album, whose duration lends itself perfectly to listening in the background, while remaining rhythmic and catchy. An atmosphere illustrated by “Keep on Dancin’”, the hit sixth track on the record, both retro and modern. With Coming Home, Usher releases an abundant album, which will delight his patient fans.
