Travis Scott didn’t win a Grammy Award this time either

It was hoped that this would be the right time for Travis Scott to take home his first Grammy, he was in fact nominated in the Best Rap Album category with Utopia, but the winner was Killer Mike with Michael. The rapper, who also triumphed in the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance categories, was arrested and taken away in handcuffs following an argument that escalated into a fight.

Travis Scott has had 10 Grammy nominations in his career, but so far he has never won one. However, he was the protagonist of yesterday evening at the Crypto.com Arena with his performance, during which he sent a clear dig at the Grammy organizers “They slept on me ten times” said the rapper.

Travis Scott performed three songs from his Utopia album, “MY EYES,” “I KNOW?” and “FE!N” with Playboi Carti. His show ended with Travis destroying the scenery on stage. Many thought that he was part of the show, but in reality this is not the case. The rapper trashed the scene after being snubbed by the Grammys again.

Speaking of the Grammy Awards and the artists who didn’t win anything, Drake gave his opinion, congratulated the winners, but wanted to underline that the Grammys mean nothing for hip hop.

“All you incredible artists remember that this show does not represent reality, it is just the opinion of a group of people whose name is kept in secret. Congratulations to anyone who wins any hip hop award, but this show doesn’t dictate the law in our world. You’ve already won if you have people singing your songs word for word, and if you’re a hero in your hometown”.

Drake had four nominations at this year’s ceremony along with 21 Savage for Her Loss, but lost in all four categories he was up for: Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance and Best Rap Song.

Drake boycotted the Grammys for a couple of years, refused to attend the ceremony and withdrew from the nominations several times.

Jay-Z also had harsh words for the Grammy Awards last night, condemning the fact that his wife, BeyoncĂ©, didn’t win the award for Album of the Year, which went to Taylor Swift.

“Despite numerous Grammy nominations he has never won in the Album of the Year category and this doesn’t work,” Jay-Z said, referring to the fact that BeyoncĂ© has been nominated several times in that category, but has never won.
