TOM MORELLO two concerts in Italy in July (Info and Tickets)

Music news

TOM MORELLO, former member of Rage Against The Machine and Audioslave, will be in Italy in July for two live dates.

Tom Morello is living proof of the transformative power of rock’n’roll. Known for his innovative guitar solos and thunderous chords, Morello is an innovative artist both in his solo career and as a member of the rock bands Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave, two groups that have earned multiple Grammy Awards and 30 million of albums sold worldwide.

I have dedicated myself both as a musician and as an activist to fighting injustice at every opportunity,” says Morello.

Amid this sense of impending doom, the time has come to rally the troops in a last-ditch effort to save the planet and our artistic souls.

By challenging the limits of what music represents and what it has represented in the past, you can open people’s eyes to try to change the status quo of society.”

His signature style – elastic slapping, atmospheric distortion and effects reminiscent of turntable scratching – was a crucial component of Rage Against Machine’s rap-metal sound in the late 1990s, helping launch Morello and the band to the 2 Grammys, to multi-platinum success and to achieving recognition by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the “100 Greatest Musicians in the World” (No. 26).

Outside of this influential group, Morello’s guitar playing can be heard in the supergroups Prophets of Rage and Street Sweeper Social Club. Additionally, Morello is a political activist and solo artist who initially performed under the name Nightwatchman before using the his name for his projects, such as the 2021 albums The Atlas Underground Fire and The Atlas Underground Flood.
