There is also Andrea Bocelli in Tha Carter VI of Lil Wayne

Tha Carter VI will be released on June 6, the sixth chapter of the Lil Wayne saga that began 21 years ago in 2004.

Tha Carter is the sequel to Tha Carter V, released in 2018. And it is since 2020 that the rapper speaks of the sixth chapter of the saga, announces it, does not publish it and then made silence drop.

In an interview with Variety from 2020, Lil Wayne was asked which album of the Tha Carter series was his favorite and Wayne replied “the next” without however entering the details. In August of the same year, Wayne announced Tha Carter, saying that her mixtape, no ceilings 3, would have come out before.

In 2022, Wayne, together with Drake and Nicki Minaj, held a concert for the reunion of the Young Money in Toronto during which he mentioned the release of Tha Carter VI, “I am working on Carter VI, coming soon”. After the concert, he shared a link on Instagram for the pre-Save of the album.

In September 2023, Wayne published the Mixtape, Tha Fix Before Tha VI, who anticipated the exit of the album, but as we know he did not come out and no longer appointed him until January of this year, when, in an interview Wayne said that Tha Carter would be released in 2025.

On February 9, 2025, Cetaphil broadcast a local advertising spot starring Lil Wayne during the Super Bowl Lix aired on the New Orleans market. In the spot, Lil Wayne jokes about not having been chosen for the Halftime Show and then retires to a recording studio that on the door have the writing “Carter VI” and “do not disturb until 06-06-2025”.

Tha Carter will be released on June 6 and already has a nice list of guests: MGK, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Wycleff Jean, Bono, Kameron Carter, Elephant Man and our Andrea Bocelli.
