The Musical Box, the only band authorized and supported by Genesis and Peter Gabriel, will return to international theaters with the “50th Anniversary Tour” to commemorate an absolute masterpiece of rock music “Selling England by the Pound”.

The tour, which resumes the 1973 show, with attention to the smallest details, is giving the public a unique and unrepeatable experience. Starting from Paris in November 2023, it continues this year too and will touch our country in spring.

Released by Genesis in 1973, “Selling England by the Pound” changed the history of rock. Peter Gabriel’s famous stage plays and the musical pinnacle of Genesis produce some of the most iconic sights and sounds of the 1970s, which still enjoy a cult following today. It is an album of great musical complexity and instrumental skill, a journey of surreal sounds and lyrics that explore English identities and societies with an imaginative and visionary storytelling. Memorable tracks include such evergreens as “Dancing with the Moonlit Knight,” “Firth of Fifth” and “The Cinema Show,” which contributed to the enduring influence and iconic status of “Selling England by the Pound” in progressive rock, often cited as one of the best albums, and still a favorite among musicians, critics and fans.

The Musical Box, a world-famous Canadian band, shared the stage with Phil Collins and Steve Hackett as guests, and performed for millions of spectators all over the world, performing on the stages of some of the most prestigious venues such as London Royal Albert Hall and the Olympia in Paris.
