Music news

A track whate releases flames on a Halloween of no return.

The kings of British dark wave, The Horrorsthey are back and celebrating with a new single which falls just in time for one of our favorite seasons; in fact we speaks of Halloween.

“Trial By Fire” is a crucial preview of their sixth studio album, night lifewhich will be released on March 21 of next year through Fiction Records. In this new project, they present us with an evolution and an alignment in their rhythms.

With Faris Badwan and Rhys Webb in the creative core, now added Amelia Kidd on keyboards and Jordan Cook on drums, who bring new energy to a project that, after almost 20 years, continues to twist the limits of the dark and the industrial.

“Trial By Fire” It is one of the most abrasive pieces of night lifewith an intensity that evokes the sound of his recent industrial EPs but delves into a more ferocious facet. The song was a process that began Rhys Webb in their isolation in Southend, and which the group molded into a defiant ode, with raspy guitars and stinging synths. Lyrically, the song delves into the curses that lurk at every step, the shadows that follow us like scars of life.

Just weeks away from its 20th anniversary, The Horrors They enter into a transformation with night lifeadding a creative force that explores beyond its post-punk roots. “Trial By Fire” It is the second glimpse of a relentless reinvention: those who dare to listen will feel each chord like a flame that does not go out.
