THE CURE – ‘PARIS’ the reissue of the double live album with two unreleased songs

Music news

“Paris”, the Cure’s double live album originally released in October 1993 has turned 30 and for the occasion is re-released in a remastered version, 2LP and 1CD, with two bonus tracks.

“Paris” was remastered by Robert Smith and Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios in London. The cutting of the double LP was made by Miles Showell also at Abbey Road Studios.

“Paris” is the second of two live albums that documented the band’s 1992 “Wish” tour. The first album “Show” was released in September 1993 and was reissued in July last year.

THE DISC

The 14 songs on the album were recorded during three performances at the Zénith in Paris in October 1992; “Paris” includes the singles “Lovesong,” “Catch,” “A Letter To Elise,” “Charlotte Sometimes,” “Close To Me” and two classic live Cure favorites: “Play For Today” and “One Hundred Years.” .

The new 30th anniversary reissue of “Paris” has been expanded by adding two previously unreleased songs, “Shake Dog Shake” and “Hot Hot Hot!!!” which now open and close the album. The track listing of the two formats has also been completely reconfigured.
