The accusers of Michael Jackson confides in “Leaving Neverland 2”

Music news

The rest of the 2019 film traces the myriad of ups and downs in the case between Wade Robson and James Safechuck and Michael Jackson.

Wade Robson and James Safechuck, the two men who accused Michael Jackson of having abused them sexually when they were minors in the successful documentary Leaving Neverlandawait their passage before the court with apprehension and insurance in a new extract from Leaving Neverland 2: Surviving Michael Jackson.

Directed by Dan Reed (to whom we owe the first film), the documentary focuses on the efforts made for years by Wade Robson and James Safechuck to obtain a lawsuit in the context of their legal action against the companies of Michael Jackson, who, according to them, have allowed and covered the abuses they would have suffered for years. These civil lawsuits were initiated for the first time ten years ago, but the new film focuses on the latest developments in the legal saga in the wake of Leaving Neverland.

During this period, their complaint was rejected twice by the California district court and relaunched twice by the California court of appeal. In the current state, a judgment could take place in November 2026. (The succession and family of Jackson have denied these allegations several times.)

“” Part of me forges a strength and a shield to cross this testexplains James Safechuck in the document. I imagine myself at the trial, on the siege, finding the strength and fighting for little Jimmy. When I came, I will be ready. »»

“” I don't really see how I could lose, Considers Wade Robson. If I have the opportunity to go back to the bar and tell the truth as I could not do for decades, it is a victory for me. »»
