The Halo Effect – The Defiant One

The Halo Effect, a Swedish melodic death metal group bringing together members of In Flames and Dark Tranquillity, to the delight of those nostalgic for the beginnings of this movement. The energetic and catchy “The Defiant One” is the first single to be released since Days of the Lost, their debut album.

Extreme – Thicker Than Blood

After making its big comeback in June, with the release of Six, Extreme continues to drive the point home. Here is a new clip directed by guitarist Nuno Bettencourt and Rene Rigal, posing images on the title “Thicker Than Blood”. Find them in concert at the Salle Pleyel (Paris) on December 7.

Per Wiberg – The Serpent’s Here

Known for playing keyboards in Opeth and Spiritual Beggars, as well as playing bass in Kamchatka, multi-faceted musician Per Wiberg is setting the stage for his next solo album. Balancing between heavy metal and hard rock, the musician presents “The Serpent’s Here”, which gives its title to the record. Release scheduled for February 9.

Myrath – Child of Prophecy

The Tunisian progressive metal group unveils the video clip for “Child of Prophecy”, an epic and melodic track, the images of which were filmed during their last concert to date in Carthage. A title to be found in Karma, Myrath’s next album, scheduled for February 2, 2024.

Buckcherry – Tell Em It’s Christmas

Christmas is approaching and the special holiday songs are starting to show the end of their sleigh. Buckcherry leads the way with “Tell Em It’s Christmas” hoping “make you smile”.

Cryptosis – Master of Life

The Dutch sci-fi thrash metal band is gearing up to release their new EP, The Silent Call, on December 1st. While waiting for this release, discover “Master of Life”, brutal and precise.

Saint Agnes – Body Bag

A young British group on the rise, Saint Agnes lets the powder speak on “Body Bag”, a direct and concise track lasting less than two minutes. We find there in particular the alternative artist Mimi Barks. A title featured on Bloodsuckers, the deluxe edition of which is released this Friday, November 24.
