Music news

Teddy Swims continues to show his inner universe through I've tried everything but therapy. After launching The Door and Funeralthe artist surprise with Bad Dreamsa song that contains all the soul essence about his worst nightmares.

This time, the American He has allowed us to see his unconscious through the world of dreams. Something that Sigmund Freud would love, as the singer claims that without the love of his life he will never have a peaceful and calm REM phase again. “I slip into bad dreams, where there is no 'you and me'. There is no sound when I cry. I love you and I need you to free me from these bad dreams,” say some of his verses.

Similarly, through the chorus he assures that he feels insecure when the sun goes down, so he will most likely spend the night awake and suffer from insomnia: “Without you, there's no way I'm sleeping tonight.”

Bad Dreams comes with a video clip that features bizarre settings such as orange-hued landscapes, a clear reference to the visual aesthetic of her album; falls into the void and long dead-end corridors. Who hasn't dreamed of labyrinthine places and people who have no relation to each other?

As he has pointed out in one of his latest posts on social media, the song was born with the purpose of “turning my worst nightmares, those that keep me awake at night, into a beautiful song for you.”
