Less than two months to get our hands on The Tortured Poets DepartmentTaylor Swift’s new album that will hit the market and different platforms on April 19her fans do not have (we have) a second to get lost: almost every day she presents something new from the artist related to her tour, her music or her personal life with the player Travis Kelce.
When we’re still recovering from the rumors that in the last few hours have flooded social networks, with a possible second date for Taylor Swift at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid (which if the data offered by OK Diario is confirmed, would occur on May 29), the one from Tennessee has given us a new special edition of her next albumwhich includes a new bonus track.
The Tortured Poets Department: File Name: The Albatross (available on its official website until February 26 or while supplies last), presents us the third cover and alternative back cover of what will become the singer’s eleventh studio album (and the first with more than two words in its title).
The photographs, where We can see Taylor for the first time looking at the camera with the sea in the backgroundare once again the work of Beth Garrabrant, the artist who shapes the visuals of the project and who had previously worked with her in the creation of Folklore: not in vain An important part of her fan community thinks that this project will mark the return of our favorite blonde to alternative music. In a few weeks we will find out.
“Am I allowed to cry?”
What is confirmed is that this new edition will have an extra song: The Albatross. On its back cover, in addition, appears the phrase “Am I allowed to cry? (am I allowed to cry?)“. Sadness and loss seem to be key themes in this new album and she herself announced in one of her last concerts that “I have not needed composition as much on an album as for this work.” A work in which, by the way, , appear Florence + The Machine and Post Malone among their collaborations.
The new edition joins, as we mentioned, two previous editions: the standard that he announced during his speech at the 2024 Grammys after taking home the award for Best Album of the Year for Midnights and the one that, with a similar marketing strategy, was presented to us just a few days ago: The Bolter.
And you, do you want to know everything that Taylor has to offer us on her new album? We are already counting the days until its launch. What edition are you going to get?
