Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny and Miley Cyrus at the top on Spotify

As of 2023, Taylor Swift is the most streamed artist on Spotify, while Bad Bunny and Miley Cyrus hold the number 1 album and song, respectively.

Spotify has released its figures for the most listened to music of the year worldwide.

Taylor Swift became the most streamed artist this year, dethroning Bad Bunny, who was in first place for three years in a row. Benito’s success, however, continued in the album chart: his A Verano Sin Ti won the top spot for the world’s most listened to albums for the second year in a row.

On the list of most listened to artists, Swift, Bad Bunny, The Weeknd, Drake and Peso Pluma form the Top 5, in that order. The Top 10 also includes Feid, Travis Scott, SZA, Karol G and Lana Del Rey.

Worldwide, A Verano Sin Ti has recorded more than 4.5 billion streams this year, according to Spotify data. Midnights by Taylor Swift is #2, SOS by SZA placed third, and The Weeknd’s 2016 album, Starboy, won fourth place, while Mañana Será Bonito by Karol G completed the list at No. 5.

It is interesting to note that Starboy ranked as the fourth most-streamed album in 2017, the year following its release. Midnights was #4 on the list of most listened to albums last year.

As for the best songs, “ flowers » by Miley Cyrus ranked first in the world, garnering 1.6 billion streams. “ Kill Bill » by SZA took second place, followed by “ As It Was » by Harry Styles, « Seven » by Jung Kook feat. Latto and “ Ella Baila Sola » by Eslabón Armado and Peso Pluma, respectively. “ As It Was was the only song to return to the Top 5, after reaching number 1 last year.
