Still Corners has impacted the international music scene with a musical proposal that overflows with emotion and reflection. The London dream pop duo prepares to release their sixth studio album dream talk and so far they have shared three singles to anticipate it. This album is the continuation of The Last Exitwhich was released in 2021, and translates the desert melancholy of that project into an environment inspired by dreams.

“Crystal Blue” It is a love song that expresses regret for a past romance and the feeling of missing someone else. The lyrics of the song tell us about two lovers separated by the sea and their dreamy expectation of meeting again. The delicate balance of the song is supported by soft percussion from the tinkling of a marimba accompanied by congas and a beat simple drums. The soft voice of Tessa Murray He leads the listener through a humming that enchants the melody to the point where it breaks into the slides of a guitar solo and slowly fades away. The overall experience of this track captures the surreal atmosphere and lightness with which Still Corners illuminates your musical proposal.

Still Corners was giving shape to the different waves of emotions that constitute dream talk in various locations, including Woodstock, the south of France and the English province of East Sussex. The work of Greg Hughes as producer of the album he gave the adequate space for experimentation so that the compositions of Tessa Murray could come to light from anywhere in the world. The album will be available on April 5th via Wrecking Light Records –record label founded by the group–.

The genesis for several of these songs comes from dreams. Every night she wrote down the dreams she could remember. During the recording, I would pull out my dream journal and sing over various music loops that Greg had prepared. This repetitive nature felt like a trance. Many of the songs came from this process…”, mentions Tessa Murray about Dream Talks.

The duo’s ethereal and delicate instrumentation will be expanded through 10 songs that will make up dream talk. Besides, Still Corners plans a tour to promote his release and share his music to create a dream pop and shoegaze atmosphere; Among its stops is our Indie Rocks Forum! next April 26.

We share with you “Crystal Blue” so that you can enter the moving emotional journey that Still Corners has detailed before the release of dream talk.
