Snoop Dogg to commentate on the Paris Olympics in the United States

Snoop Dogg will cover competitions and events in Paris throughout the Olympics.

After commentating on the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games on Peacock, Snoop Dogg is taking part in NBCUniversal’s coverage of the 2024 Summer Games, which will take place in Paris. The rapper will cover the Games in prime time starting July 26 on NBC and Peacock.

The announcement was made Sunday evening during halftime of an American football match. Viewers got a glimpse of Snoop’s unique perspective on sports in a promotional video for the Summer Games, featuring U.S. Olympic athletes Suni Lee (gymnastics), A’ja Wilson (basketball), Jagger Eaton (skateboarding), and Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes (volleyball).

Throughout the Games, Snoop will provide insight into what’s happening on the ground in Paris. He will explore iconic locations, attend Olympic events and speak with athletes, their friends and families.

I grew up watching the Olympics and I’m excited to see these incredible athletes give it their all in Paris. It is a celebration of skill, dedication and the pursuit of greatness, Snoop DOgg said in a statement. We’re going to see some amazing competitions and, of course, I’ll bring my Snoop style. The NBC channel echoed the rapper’s enthusiasm for this collaboration. “ Snoop is already a gold medal-winning Olympic commentator, having generated tens of millions of views for his commentary on Peacock during the Tokyo Olympics dressage competitionsaid Molly Solomon, executive producer and president of NBC Olympics Production. This performance alone earned Snoop our special correspondent in Paris. We don’t know what’s going to happen every day, but we do know he’ll bring his unique perspective to our new primetime Olympic show. »

The Paris 2024 Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11.
