Slayer announces its reformation

Music news

American thrash metal band Slayer announces its return to the stage less than five years after the end of its farewell tour.

The group also brings back Gary Holt, guitarist from Exodus who also replaced Jeff Hanneman, who died in 2013. Paul Bostaph also takes over as drummer. Slayer has not yet communicated anything regarding a possible new solo album. The latest, Repentless, was released in 2014.

This reformation comes just a few weeks after the announcement of Kerry King’s first solo album. Titled From Hell I Rise, it notably includes the already revealed single “Idle Hands”. The guitarist and his new band have several dates planned this summer. Regarding France, see you at Hellfest on June 27.
