Shakira celebrates her singlehood with her new hit “Soltera”

Music news

The singer surprises us by unveiling a new single this Thursday. With “Soltera,” Shakira sings, in Spanish, an ode to the single life.

She lives alone and doesn't complain about it, on the contrary. Shakira takes advantage of her freedom in her new title “Soltera”. The singer unexpectedly unveiled this sunny single this Thursday, September 26.

We hear him perform powerful lyrics in Spanish that can be translated as: “I'm allowed to behave badly for fun/I'm free and now I can do what I want/It's nice to be single.”

This new single once again demonstrates that Shakira is regaining control of her life since her separation from Gerard Piqué in June 2022.

Shakira: new album soon?

“Soltera” is not featured on Shakira’s latest album, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.” The song could therefore well appear on a new project. In an interview for “Rolling Stone” last June, the Colombian revealed : “There are a few songs we have in reserve. They were hidden. I don’t have a new album, but let’s say there’s a new project.”

While waiting to learn more, American fans will be able to find the star on stage during her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour” from November 2.
