Shakira announces the release of her new album, and it’s due next month!

Music news

Seven years after the release of her last album “El Dorado”, the singer is preparing to make her return to music with a new album planned for next month.

Shakira is preparing to make her comeback. After stepping away from music for several years to focus on her family life, the star announced, this Thursday, February 15, the release of a new album entitled “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” (“Women Don’t cry more”, in French). A project that she mentioned at the WECB microphone during her last visit to Paris.

To accompany this announcement, the singer published a series of photos of herself on her Instagram account. In the first, in particular, she appears with tears shining like diamonds in her eyes. She writes : ” My new album which arrives this March 22, I did not create it alone but with all of you, and with my pack of wolves who accompany me every step of the way. »

She adds : “By writing each song, I rebuilt myself. As I sang them, my tears turned into diamonds and my vulnerability into resilience. » No doubt, the Latin singer sets the tone for her next project. Will it be in the same vein as the recent revenge songs that the artist shared and which targeted her ex, Gerard Piqué?

This album will in any case be the twelfth studio project of the “Waka Waka” singer. Before that, his latest record, “El Dorado”, carried by his hit single “Chantaje” in collaboration with Maluma, was released in 2017. We therefore expect very heavy stuff, especially after the last sounds of the Colombian star “BZRP Music Sessions #53” and “El Jefe” which left their mark.
