Very little is missing from the Festival. They will have asked you a billion questions, but we try to do something different. Let's start with a curiosity: last year you watched Sanremo from home. Who are you cheering? Is there anyone in particular that you would like to see this year?

We have our favorite: Lucio Corsi. He is a musician that we have always followed and we are very happy with his participation.

If you have a duet, who would you like to perform with?

Vale LP: We have always dreamed of duet with Loredana Bertè. For us it is a bit of an artistic mother, a figure we have always admired.
Lil Jolie: Yes, and there is a particular song, “Ninna bed”, which we would like to interpret with her. It would be magical.

Sanremo is a great opportunity. What do you expect after the Festival? Do you have projects in the pipeline?

Vale LP: Absolutely. For us music has always been an opportunity to escape from a context full of limitations and dream of a better world. We have an outgoing disc, our first whole.
Lil Jolie: it is a project that we have always wanted to do, but we have waited for the right time to give him the dignity he deserves. There will also be a tour, and we hope to share a lot of music next spring and summer.

Will the record follow the vision you expressed with the song of Sanremo?

Vale LP: Yes, the record speaks of our life experience, our friendship and how we have changed over time. We want to tell not only the two of us, but also the society in which we live and our shared experiences.

Have you already thought of the looks for the stage?

Lil Jolie: We are working on it. We want every detail to have a purpose, from song to clothes, passing through the performance. We want to be consistent with the message we bring.
Vale LP: Yes, we believe a lot in what we are doing, so we want everything to be cared for and significant.

What scares you more than Sanremo? And what excites you?

Lil Jolie: perhaps it is the same thing: the stage is enormous and we feel a great responsibility, but we can't wait to climb.
Vale LP: We try not to have too many expectations. Our song speaks precisely of the weight of expectations and idealization. We want to enjoy the moment and the community, rather than the competition.

Have you received advice or support from someone in particular?

Vale LP: Yes, we are lucky to work with people who believe in us and support us. Our team pampers us as princesses and this makes us feel free to focus on music.
Lil Jolie: seeing happiness in the eyes of those who believe in this project is an important signal for us. It gives us serenity.

Is your fanbase ready to cheer for you in Sanremo?

Vale LP: Yes, absolutely! Our fanbase is fantastic and we are sure that they will support us to the maximum.

Their letter

In November Valentina and Angela posted an open letter on their social networks to tell how they came so far:

Hello Tuttx
Here Angela and Vale. The hands are actually of Vale because Angi is shaking (as always he has something better to do when there is work) but in short we are here together.

As for 8 years now.

In our part it is not so simple. You are born, grow, go to school, you love and always clash with the same faces. And usually Tuttx is fine like this. You have no possibility or tools to see what's outside the valley. We were looking for, written and then seen. From there we no longer separated.

Angela's room. A 50 euro microphone. The pieces on Soundcloud.

Then Rome, the regional and shopping envelopes as if we were starting for America.

Trap, homemade tattoos, we homemade….

The first interviews. To talk about what then? Who were we? Who we wanted to become? And that we knew.

When Vale went on TV I ran away from Rome, because that place existed only together. We found ourselves in Milan and decided to go and live. It is Milan, the place farthest from home where we were, that made us understand what we can never escape from.

The question marks and a year of oxen have arrived, even between the two of us, even if in the same house.

I decided to enter Amici and only today do I understand I have unconsciously chosen the easiest way to make me judge again. 8 months away from Vale, who in the meantime has changed everything and published his first album. I published mine.

However, the satisfactions we conquered were not enough, because they are far away.

This is the reason why today we are here in front of this new beginning.

When I went home as friends (and for the house I mean where it is) it was like when we found ourselves 8 years ago for the first time in my room. With the same intensity, the same embarrassment, the same curiosity, the same desires, the same magic, the same desire. This time with the awareness of being ready to really tell who we are and with the certainty of being able to do it only together.

The girls of the valley are existences that meet, which are recognized and that from that moment will no longer leave themselves. You are a girl from the valley if there is someone in the world in which you really believe even if that someone is you.

Know that there will not be only one song but a record. They will be concerts, it will be us and you who meet without distinguishing ourselves more. It will be fun, emotional, true.

It will be complicated, it will be a mess. It will be love.
We embrace you infinitely
