Sanremo 2025 – The Kolors: Our music must make you feel good

Interviews

The Kolors return for the third time among the big names in the race at the Festival of the Italian Song in Sanremo with the song You who make love with.

Q&A

The new single was born from a session. How was the creative process?

Absolutely yes, it comes from a very particular session. It was different from the usual. We tried to maintain an intimate atmosphere, also thanks to the study I have under the house. We always try to live those moments naturally, like a family. “

What was the reaction when you listened to the first demo?

The thing that made me hope was that my older daughter when he heard the very first demo, I immediately thought: 'This is my favorite song.' If he manages to convey life and authenticity, then we are on the right path. There is never a forced intent in writing, but rather the desire to tell sincere emotions. “

What is the main theme of the song?

“It is a story disguised as a love meeting, but in reality it aims to expand the concept of freedom. There is always room for moments of reflection, but in this case we have chosen to celebrate positivity, even if sometimes it seems difficult in the current context. “

How would you describe your positive approach to music?

We struggle to be gloomy or negative because our music was created to transmit positive energy. Even in moments of performance there is always a touch of lightness and fun. We prefer to share joy and make those who listen to us feel good. “

What can you tell us about the next tour?

It will be an intense tour, we will touch city such as Paris, Berlin, Monaco, Vienna and four dates in Poland. In Poland there is a special love for our music, so we decided to make more concerts there. They will be very different shows than the Italian ones, more intimate, in clubs with a more rock atmosphere and direct contact with the public. “

How are Sanremo's experience living?

It's like being in a blender: everything happens so quickly that we struggle to perceive the real impact of the festival. However, compared to recent years, there is less competition. Everyone takes their own space without rivalry, and it is beautiful because art should never be competing. “

What is your approach to the race?

We don't feel in the race. Sanremo, for us, is a moment of celebration of music. We are not interested in competition. If we were to win, obviously it would be a satisfaction, but the goal is to enjoy the moment and share our music. “
