Rosalía and the two theories about the name of their new album that takes weight: “The word coatta”

Music news

Rosalia knows perfectly how to create hype. The followers and followers of the Spanish star look forward to their fourth studio album. And after the launch of Motomami in March 2022, the entire music industry is aware of the artist's next movement. And it doesn't surprise us! That album was a before and after in music and inspired other artists to get out of established sounds.

At the end of 2024, Rosalía confirmed that she was working on her new album and that this same 2025 can listen to it. And this was one of his purposes of the year.

Well, as happened with Motomami, fans believe that Rosalia is leaving all kinds of clues on their social networks about the concept and title of her new album. Because if something is good for Rosi, it is, in addition to composing, creating an entire universe around his music.

In this way, two theories have taken weight on social networks. And yes, according to them, Rosalia would have already told us the name of her new album.

Theory 1: A homonymous album with four syllables

The first theory comes from Daniel Gómez Sanchez, who has thoroughly investigated the work of the Motomami. And according to him, the artist's next album could simply be called Rosalia. And be a homonymous album.

This theory is also based on the singer's pattern when appointing discs has always followed a guideline: all names have four syllables. From Los Angeles to evil wanting, going through Motomami.

In addition, this theory would take reinforcement for an image that the singer uploaded to her social networks in which her name written with wool came out. Will it be the new typography of the new album?

According to Daniel Gómez Sánchez, a doctoral researcher in Rosalía's work, the artist's next album could be titled “Rosalía” and thus be her homonym album. Her theory is based on the fact that she had so far followed a pattern to name her albums with a 4 syllable title.

Theory 2: Coatta and Las Cruces

The second theory has to do with his obsession with the crosses. Something we have seen in his last publication on Instagram (and has commented to Pablo Alborán). Rosalia appears making the cross symbol and carrying it in each of the images she has shared.

In this way, some users on social networks believe that this has to do with their new project.

“They recently confirmed that Rosalía recorded a video in a Catholic monastery … Today she publishes photos with crosses. This could be related to the word 'Coatta' that means forced in Italian, as Jesus was forced to give her life for humanity,” says one of the tweets that has become viral with this theory. In addition, this theory would be complementary to the first. And Coatta also has four syllables.

Be that as it may, it seems that Rosalia will speak again in this new musical era. We will be attentive.
