Rihanna in private concert in India: the crazy amount she received

Music news

While her fans are impatiently awaiting her return to music, the singer has finally come out of silence for an exclusive concert. A unique performance on the occasion of a pre-wedding at the expense of one of the richest families in India.

What wouldn’t we do for our children! After BeyoncĂ©, who performed in 2018 at the wedding of the eldest daughter of the wealthy Indian Ambani family, Isha, today it is Rihanna who hosted the pre-wedding of the little brother, Anant Ambani, youngest son of the ninth largest fortune in the world. The Barbadian star traveled to Jamnagar, in western India, to perform exclusively in front of 1,200 guests.

But bringing Rihanna out of retirement comes at a cost, and it’s high. Patriarch Mukesh Ambani, however, did not hesitate to take out the wallet. For this unique performance, A$AP Rocky’s companion received no less than 9 million dollars (8.29 million euros), reports India Today. An impressive amount which nevertheless represents only a small part of the expenses incurred for this private celebration. Indeed, this ceremony weekend alone would have cost around $148 million, according to Indian media.

On stage, Rihanna performed the favorite songs of the bride-to-be, Radhika Merchant. So what followed: “Work”, “Umbrella”, “Bitch Better Have My Money” and even “All of the Lights”. A perfect tracklist which was reminiscent of the star’s performance at the 2023 Super Bowl. Some videos of the show, filmed by certain guests present that evening, leaked on social networks.

Before joining her family, the singer took the time to take a few photos with the bride and groom and their family. Enough to perfectly end the first part of what promises to be the biggest wedding of the year.

The official ceremony is to be held in July and will include numerous personalities among the guests, such as Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, as well as several figures from Bollywood cinema.
