Review: SHIVA – “Milano Angels”

Reviews

New episode of the saga dedicated to Milan. After the demons, here are the angels, or those who should be angels!

With the heavy legal case behind him, Shiva tries to rebuild himself and, above all, to rebuild his life. To do so, he seeks redemption and hope through music.

“Milano Angels” is the expression of this period. An intense life, full of storms: the trial, the prison, the birth of his son, the probation, which have marked the boy now become an adult.

Demons or angels? Here is his dilemma.

Heart of the bad this city
I thought that was enough already
I think about making money, not how it will go
Before the room gets dark again
But we still smile between
Even if the situation outside doesn't change
Because I know that one day it will change
Because I know that one day it will change

Listening to the various songs, it seems that Shiva is constantly searching for himself, for a balance. Continuous contrasts: money, honor, respect, guilt and justice, judges and lawyers, good and bad, and in the background Milan, which becomes his Gotham City.

In this constant struggle with life, he also manages to open a window to talk about love: about the love towards his wife and his son, in the songs Thirst And Paradise and in the tender and heartfelt Letter to Draco the declaration of love towards his son.

And if I die today, I'll still beat in your heart
You will learn to love, maybe you will understand all this
Written in the pain of endless hours I've lost
Even if you don't see it, I'm committed
I swear, I'm doing my best

Musically, the album is rap, it's trap, but it's also pop and has an international vision. Naturally rich in collaborations, starting from international big names like NLE Choppa or Lil Tjay, but also many Italian friends, from Paky to Tony Boy, from Geolier to Kid Yugi, from Tedua to Mondo Marcio.

Let's hope that the angels of Milan can overcome the demons of Shiva and that this is the beginning of a new story…
