Review: SACKY – “Balordo” (Track by track)

Reviews

A “STUNNY” world is what Sami Abou El Hassan, aka Sacky, wants to narrate. A difficult, damned scene, more than a world, built in a hidden, dystopian and dark Milan.

A life lived on the street, where the law of crime, of drug dealing, of the obsession with iron as a symbol of omnipotence is in force, an existence on the edge, without points of reference, without guides.
A real, raw, almost documentary story that comes straight, without filters.
In this desperate, almost invisible Milan, Sacky moves and sings. To get out of this quagmire and swamp there is only music, which represents redemption and above all the future.

The album is a continuous alternation of photographs of a distorted present, images of a wrong past and a search for redemption for the future.

Intense and rough songs, at the limit of respect (Shake, Le Donne or Payday) where all the anger, ferocity and intolerance of the San Siro rapper explodes and introspective, reflective pieces where a boy from 2001 emerges full of humanity, fragility and tenderness (Kayros, My Brudda, Madre Perdonami).

Musically, the 15 new tracks range through the roughest and darkest nuances of urban and trap and see the exceptional collaborations of artists who have made the history of the genre in Italy and beyond, together with the most appreciated names of the new scene of our country: Emis Killa, Luchè, Artie 5ive and 167 Gang, Rame, Slings, Niky Savage, Baby Gang, Rondodasosa and last but not least, the international Lacrim.

Precisely these feat. they give all the dimension of Sacky and his street credibility.

Perhaps the key to understanding this entire album is the one announced by Marracash in the motivational intro of Kayrosadvice from an older brother that indicates the right path to follow to enhance talent, which undoubtedly exists!

TRACK BY TRACK

1. MORE ENEMIES

The first song on the tracklist signed by Sacky is an authentic concentration of uncompromising rhymes and images, properly packaged on a fiery beat.

2. PAYDAY feat. Emis Killa

Sacky’s bars are joined by those of one of the most popular rappers on the Italian scene: Emis Killa. The rhythm and the chorus brand this overwhelming song, which captures attention from the first listen and promises to be a real hit.

3. KAYROS

A song of redemption recorded thanks to the contribution of the children of Don Claudio Burgio’s community of the same name. “There are no bad kids”, says the sign at the entrance to the association, and the artist wants to communicate the same to us with this song. A personal story, inspired by his own permanence within the community, where commitment, music and time represented the keys to his revenge.

4. SEA OUT feat. Lacrim, Luchè

Milan – Paris – Naples: Sacky involves two guests of honour, Lacrim and Luchè, today established dominators of the French and Italian urban scene. “Mare Fuori” is a song with an iconic sample intended to convey a message of freedom and revenge.

5. ALO BABY

A fast-paced jersey drill beat accompanies the words of Sacky who is ready to reveal his most intimate feelings.

6. LOS DIABLOS feat. Artie 5ive, 167 Gang

“LOS DIABLOS” is a street song with raw bars and a sustained rhythm where the artists paint all their imagination in their lyrics, and tell through rap what they see and experience in their neighborhoods, giving their voice the opportunity to represent everyone those who do not have the opportunity to make their opinion heard. At his side are two of the most popular names on the current urban scene: Artie 5ive and 167 GANG.

7. ACTING feat. Copper

Sacky and Rame bring home a song that highlights the undeniable qualities of the two rappers on a base with a fresh dancehall flavor.

8. UNPLEASANT

“Antipatico” is a song with dark and enveloping sounds that boasts a beat by Nko and Young Miles capable of creating the perfect atmosphere for the San Siro rapper’s outburst.

9. SHAKE feat. Slings

Another new collaboration for Sacky who, together with the Slings, offers a song ready to achieve its main purpose: to create fun and make people dance.

10. THE WOMEN feat. NIKY SAVAGE

Sacky’s sincere pen meets the sharp one of one of the revelations of recent rap, Niky Savage. “LE DONNE” turns out to be a true declaration of love for the female gender.

11. WHERE WERE YOU? feat. Baby Gang

Sacky and Baby Gang tell the story of the life they have lived, made up of real and metaphorical prisons, over an Arab-influenced beat.

12. HOW BEAUTIFUL IT WAS

One of the most introspective songs contained in “BALORDO”. Here Sacky takes a moment to reflect on his experience. Clear memories told over a delicate beat.

13. MY BRUDDA feat. Rondodasosa

“You are my brother, you can count on me”. A mutual dedication between Sacky and Rondodasosa who join together again in a song capable of highlighting the strong understanding and friendship that has always bound them.

14. THE FIRST TIME

Sacky launches a reflective piece, in which he exposes his reflections on the sexual and amorous experiences he has had. The artist touches on delicate and personal topics for the first time, without losing the style that characterizes him.

15. MOTHER FORGIVE ME

The track that closes the album is the most personal on the album. The rapper, in a conscious and mature way, pays homage to his mother.
