Review: NEIMA EZZA – “Little Prince”

Reviews

“Little Prince” is urban storytelling. The story of Neima Ezza, of Amine Ezzaroui, the boy, the little prince who becomes the rapper of zone 7, San Siro in Milan.

In the album there is the life of his neighborhood, his experiences of the streets, of life in Milan, a place full of contradictions, where it is possible to form strong bonds, but also encounter many obstacles.

Kids who have learned to live on the streets, among parks and the Aler houses in the area. Children who grew up without a lullaby, without a guide, relationships that end against the backdrop of a neighborhood where it is difficult to trust and friendships that continue to live, but also revenge and the desire to arrive to thank and repay their family for the sacrifices made : here are the themes that the artist touches with extreme lucidity, in a direct and never banal way, with the sensitivity that has always distinguished him.

In the album you can hear Neima’s different souls coexisting, the more pop, introspective, sentimental and delicate one (Little Prince, Lullaby, Bella, I’m wrong to think of you, Rosa) and the rough, angry, dark one (Punitive Expedition) and the flexible one, of revenge (Ghetto Love, Calle, Finita).

From a musical point of view there is a bit of contemporary urban: trap, reggaeton, electronic and pop and finally there are friends and colleagues who wanted to participate with him: Guè, Simba La Rue, Baby Gang, Capo Plaza, Neze , Emis Killa, Ezza.

“Little Prince” is the mirror of Neima. Its reflection of the past and the starting point for the future, evolved, more mature, where suffering, tears and shortcomings are strengths and not just cracks and scars.
