If there is an artist capable of embodying the quintessence of rap understood as a vehicle of raw truths, never sweetened and non -trivial that is half -bait.
With his fifth studio album, “Visceral”, the Roman rapper not only confirms his street credibility but his musical proposal in a dense and stratified work evolves, which goes far beyond the surface and the stereotypes of the genre.
The title of the album is not chosen at random: it is a declaration of intent, an existential X -ray that puts the artist bare, stripping it of each mask and returning the authenticity of a voice that is made, at the same time, denunciation and inner reflection.
The visceral half -legal approach has emerged from the first bars, in an album that does not give respite, which does not bend to commercial logic but chooses to confront the contradictions of our time in a ferocious way and without discount. Visceral is an act of resistance to normalization, a claim of expressive freedom that goes beyond the expectations of the public.
It is the result of a creative urgency that has its roots deeply, where the artist is able to reflect and distil a lyricism that touches the heart of reality.
The lyrics are the pulsating soul of the album. Each bar, despite its rawness, makes an expression of a rare lucidity, capable of describing everyday life with the strength of a brush stroke. It is not only the content that strikes, but also the artist's ability to penetrate the meanders of existence, to tell with sharp verses the superficiality of a hyper-contemporary society and full of false myths.
Musically, Visceral is a sound emergency album. The production, entrusted to a host of precious names-Yazee, G-Laspada, Verano, Mr. Monkey and the same half-bangue-is not only the outline, but an integral part of a speech that becomes three-dimensional. To close the feat. Gemitaiz, Nayt and Icaro, names not focused on making easy but conceptual and reasoned hits.
Dense, intense … visceral!
Track for track
“VISCERAL”
An explosive opening, a rebellious impetus that becomes a manifest resistance. With raw and direct verses, half -bait explores the brute force of the soul, a declaration of war against hypocrisy and mediocrity.
“Idioccy” (feat. Gemitaiz)
A ferocious criticism of contemporary society, with a reflection on the superficiality and stupidity of mass mechanisms. Gemitaiz enriches the piece with a sharp flow, bringing the intensity of the song to new levels.
“Flowricoltura”
A hymn to pure lyricism, an intellectual journey that challenges the rap conventions. Half -breeding reflects on his art and his vision of the world, with verses that penetrate like a sharp knife, between poetry and truth.
“Kenny Wells”
An incisive reflection on the search for success and the derived failure, seen through the perspective of a character who is made of the contradictions of capitalism. A profound exploration of the existential void and modern illusions.
“Waltz” (feat. Nayt)
Half -legal and Nayt unite the forces to face the darkest sides of toxic relationships. The track is an emotional tango that tells the inner conflict and the painful detachment, between passion and self -destruction.
“Merge et Libera”
A lucid fresco of contemporary society, where social divisions, commodification and tribalization intertwine with the struggle for freedom. A pungent analysis that leaves no room for illusions, only a raw truth.
“Love”
The track that marks a reverse of course, a change of perspective. A song of redemption that balances anger and hope, where half -bait sings the possibility of a light even in the darkest moments.
“Pronoia”
A step further in the search for redemption, in which the protagonist abandons himself to a positive and hopeful vision of the future. A powerful contrast with previous traces, where trust in love and change is manifested.
“Property from panic”
Self -acceptance as an act of resistance against the forces that push us to hide our fears. An introspective piece, which examines the paralysis of the human soul in the face of uncertainty and fear of the future.
“You know if” (feat. Icaro)
An intimate promise of life, of resistance in a world in crisis. Half -bait and Icaro intertwine their voices in a dialogue that questioned the banality of human beliefs, offering a reflection on solitude and hope.
“STUPID”
A game of words that highlights the contradictions of human certainties. The track is done an exercise of irony on the banality of the beliefs which, unfortunately, condition the choices and existences of many.
“I WOULD LIKE”
The conclusion of the album, which will find a sweet yield in the final reflection. An intimate and delicate piece, in which half -bait confronts its fragility and its deepest desires, giving us a cathartic and positive conclusion.
