The first episode of the third season of RED BULL POSSE is online.

The format inaugurates the new year with four new promises: KID LOST, ELMATADORMC7, JELECROIS and SPENDER, or rather the four semi-finalists of Nuova Scena – Rhythm + Flow Italia, the musical competition of the rap world with Fabri Fibra, Geolier and Rose Villain in search of the talents who will mark the new Italian rap scene.

The first 7 episodes of the show are already available on Netflix, while the final (episode 8) will be available from Monday 4 March.

The unprecedented synergy between the Netflix rap show and RED BULL POSSE was natural: the Red Bull format – born in Japan with the name of Red Bull Rasen and also imported into France as Spinner, in Italy recalls the Posse movement of the years 80s and 90s and saw alternating artists who later became the big names of the scene such as Geolier, BNKR44, VillaBanks, Il Tre, Naska and many others for the first two seasons.

RED BULL POSSE draws on the young talents of the Italian rap scene, bringing them together in a choral creative challenge and calling them to collaborate in the writing of a song, alternating every 16/32 bars. Within the track, the protagonists develop their storytelling with maximum freedom, giving voice to their expressive urgency around a topic that is close to their hearts.

This is what KID LOST, ELMATADORMC7, JELECROIS and SPENDER did – in the unreleased song produced by DAT BOI DEE starting today on RED BULL DROPPA – on a very important and topical concept in the rap world: “They talk about me”.

THE PROTAGONISTS

The protagonists of this RED BULL POSSE have very clear ideas about it: the judgment of others doesn’t count, what matters is being able to freely express one’s personality and one’s art, being able to make oneself known through one’s music as already in the episodes of Nuova Scena – Rhythm + Flow Italia, the show arrived in our country after the success achieved in the USA and France, representing the first Italian adaptation of an original Netflix format.

KID LOST – stage name of Graziano Landolfi – embodies a Neapolitan essence rooted in his place of origin, Qualiano. From a young age, at just 14 years old, he approached the world of rap, tracing a unique path that is intertwined with the influences that shaped him. “CoSang” influenced his language and metric structures, while artists such as Club Dogo, Eminem, Wu-Tang Clan, Nas and 50 Cent helped create his artistic identity. Kid Lost has already achieved a considerable following on digital platforms, with around 10 million plays thanks to a series of singles released during its run, such as “Vogl ij abballà”, “Parln e me”, “Preghiera”, “Quartier ”.

ELMATADORMC7 is a rapper from Ciampino, Rome, born in 2002. He entered the lively Roman urban scene from a very young age, with an irreverent, ironic and unfiltered style and an unconventional artistic personality. In 2020 the single “Princess inside the ban” goes viral on Tik Tok giving him the chance to be heard. Subsequently the songs “Shake That” with Ince and Lil Dig, “Donna Criminale” and “Tortellini alla Paulo Dybala” allow him to build and expand a solid fan base.

JELECROIS, born Mariateresa Pini, is a rapper born in 1999 from Naples. Passionate about the world of hip hop since she was a child, she approached it through the world of dance and breakdancing, which she has practiced since adolescence. During her lockdown, almost by chance, she found herself writing her first lyrics, discovering her vocation for rap: at the end of 2022, her first songs were released online, thanks to which she began to get noticed by the staff at work. In 2023 she released the singles “Give Me” and “Money”, produced by Big Fish with a 2000s rap club musical twist. Jelecrois’ rap is characterized by a fast and pungent flow, club atmospheres linked to her background as a dancer, without ever losing a personal and thoughtful touch in her lyrics.

SPENDER, a Roman artist formed in the period of explosion of the capital’s rap scene, after years of apprenticeship as an underground best kept secret, in the second half of 2020 he managed to obtain unexpected visibility thanks to the songs “Bowling” and “Don’t Do That” which earned him virality on social media, driven by the engaging enthusiasm of the ever-widening fan base. In 2021, the year in which Spender releases “Viral” and “Viral 2”, a duology of EPs crowned by the anthem “Unlock The Swag”. 2022 is the year in which, thanks to the energy accumulated in the live experience, he releases his first official album “TUTTA COLPA DI SPENCER”. Preceded by the single “Politically correct”, the album obtained a good response from the public and paved the way for the publication of “2003”, a single which, thanks to the collaborations with Il Testosterone and Maria Sofia Pia Federico, became a TikTok trend for more than 3000 uses of audio.
