Record Store Day reveals list of exclusive releases for 2024

The LP list includes exclusive editions from artists such as The 1975, The Pixies and Blur. In addition to a special release of Paramoreambassadors of Record Store Day 2024.

Since 2007, every year various independent record stores come together to celebrate the Record Store Day to share musical culture internationally. This year the event will take place on April 20 in stores around the world and the exclusive release list includes hundreds of vinyl from a wide variety of artists.

This year the Record Store Day will take place after the annual report of the Digital Sales and Entertainment Association, which recorded a 17.8% growth in vinyl sales during 2023. The vinyls that make up this year’s release list are divided into three categories: Exclusive LPs , premieres and limited or local editions.

One of the most anticipated releases is the album Re: This Is Why of Paramore, which will be available for the first time on vinyl. Recently the group confirmed its new status as an independent band and revealed that they would represent the Record Store Day this year as official ambassadors of the event.

To celebrate the fortieth anniversary of their fifth studio album, The Cure will release a special illustrated edition of The Top. During the Record Store Day will also be available Live at Gorilla of The 1975, parklife of Blur in commemoration of its 30th anniversary and Live From Red Rocks 2005 of The Pixies. These are just some of the featured artists that you can find in different independent record stores this April 20.

Among other surprises that await in the Record Store Day we will see the release of the electronic duo’s EP 100 Gecs, Snake Eyeswhich is printed in a peculiar way. Dark Matter, the new album Pearl Jam, It will also have a release in the form of vinyl with a special yellow and black coloring. Many other articles from great musical acts – such as Daft Punk, Siouxsie and the Banshees, George Harrison either The Doors– will be available in during this edition of the Record Store Day.
