The legendary album Diamond and Pearls by Prince will benefit from a deluxe reissue provided. See you on October 27.

The 13th album of Princetitled Diamond and Pearls, was the subject of a reissue, enhanced with numerous bonus tracks, released on October 27. Thus, the original album will be remastered for the first time.

Here are the different formats offered:

  • Super Deluxe Edition (7CD+Blu-ray / 12 vinyls+Blu-ray / audio download and streaming)
  • Deluxe Edition (2CD / 4 180-gram vinyls)
  • Remastered album (1CD / Double transparent 180-gram vinyl “Diamond” (outside USA) / download and streaming

The super deluxe box set therefore includes the remastered album and 15 remixes and B-sides recorded during this period. Among the latter, find in particular the previously unreleased “Gett Off (Damn Near 10 Min.)”. There are also 33 unreleased titles from the archives of Prince, including alternative versions of tracks from the album. Also find titles that the artist had offered to other artists, without forgetting compositions recorded live in 1990. Also find a new two-hour concert recorded in Minneapolis in 1992.

Recorded between 1989 and 1991, Diamond and Pearls was the opportunity for Prince to present his new backing band: the New Power Generation. Thanks to the environment from which the musicians came, the artist was able to develop his hip-hop, dance music, gospel and pop influences. A combination that proved to be a winner, since this album enjoyed great success, with nearly 4.5 million copies sold. We find there in particular the hits “Gett Off” or “Cream”.
