Primal Screamthe band from Glasgow, Scotland, have released their new song “Deep Dark Waters”. This song is the second preview of their long-awaited album Come Aheadwhich will be released on November 8, 2024 under the label BMGWith a sound that mixes psychedelia, flamenco guitars and brilliant choruses, the song stands out for its intense lyrics —written by Bobby Gillespie which addresses the horrors of war and the current humanitarian crisis.

“Deep Dark Waters” continues the legacy of Primal Scream to merge music and message, this time with a warning about the direction of humanity, using powerful metaphors such as “This ship is sailing in deep, dark waters, all systems are failing.” The song follows her previous release “Love Insurrection”and both songs reflect a strong social criticism characteristic of the band.

The official music video, directed by Douglas Hartcomplements the song's somber and reflective atmosphere. With more than 40 years of experience, Primal Scream remains a relevant force in music, blending alternative rock, neo-psychedelia and electronica. Come Ahead promises to be a powerful and politically charged album. You can pre-save it here.
