PREMIERE: Nova Materia shares the video for “Don’t Play With Me”

Music news

An organic, intense and futuristic theme with percussive, industrial and cold elements.

New Matter presents, exclusively for Indie Rocks! his most recent video “Don’t Play With Me“, immersing us in a visual universe as enveloping as its sound. This release marks the beginning of what is to come from the Franco-Chilean duo, composed of Caroline Chaspoul and Eduardo Henriquezwho once again demonstrate their mastery by fusing raw electronic and dance principles with percussive, industrial and cold elements, all with an unmistakable visual style.

The video, directed by themselves and produced by Beta Pictoris Musicis an audiovisual work that perfectly complements the intensity of his electronic music, the beats penetrating sound effects and a striking visual narrative.

Filmed in the dark, with the only light coming from the headlights of a vehicle, “Don’t Play With Me” creates an atmosphere of mystery and dark appeal. This approach captures the essence of the song, which is not only an organic, intense and futuristic theme, but also enhances the somber and enigmatic atmosphere that characterizes the work of New Matter.

While in the background a strange robotic and androgynous voice is heard representing an artificial intelligence that warns humanity of the power it can exert over us, of its intellectual superiority and its high capacity for action and control, the night shots, along with Color effects and filters add a layer of dynamism and depth to the visual experience, transporting the viewer to a parallel world where music and images intertwine in a sublime way.
