PJ HARVEY the video for the single “Seem an I” (Watch the video)

Music news

PJ Harvey and actor Ruth Wilson collaborated on the new video for PJ’s latest single, Seem an I created by Oscar-nominated Irish screenwriter and director Colm Bairéad.

The song is a new extract from PJ Harvey’s latest album “I Inside The Old Year Dying” released last July (READ THE REVIEW).

The video was filmed at Kennel Farm outside Salisbury, Wiltshire.

On working with Ruth Wilson and Colm Bairéad, PJ Harvey says:

Ruth and I became friends after working together on Clio Barnard’s film ‘Dark River’.

I have always greatly admired Ruth’s work as an actress, so I had long harbored a dream that we could work together again in some capacity.

When the opportunity to work with Colm Bairéad arose, I knew he was a director Ruth respected very much, as did I, so it seemed right to ask her if she would star in the film. I find the resulting short film beautiful and moving due to Ruth’s magical presence and Colm’s unique vision.”

Ruth Wilson:

I’ve always been a huge fan of PJ, so it was a great privilege to work alongside Colm and Polly to bring “Seem an I” to visual life in this mysterious and hypnotic short film.

There’s no better way to spend a day in the magical world of PJ Harvey.
