Virtuoso guitarist, Peter Frampton is celebrating his birthday today. Back to music on a career full of contrasts
Young prodigy, Peter Frampton Go up for the first time on stage at the age of eight. At sixteen, he founded his first group, The Herd. Singer with crazy charm, he wins more than one and will even be designated “face of the year 1968”. It was at this precise moment that he decided to leave the group.
Determined to get rid of an image he deems too “wise”, he co-founded one of the first super-groups in rock history, Humble pie. Surrounded by Small Faces And from Spooky Tooth, he shakes the hard rock scene for four years, before launching solo and chaining hits. He will also accompany several other big names in studio music, including George Harrison,, Ringo Starr and his childhood friend, a certain David Bowie.
