Peter Anthony Morgan, known as “Peetah”, was the son of Jamaican musician Denroy Morgan.

Anthony Morgan was the son of Jamaican musician Denroy Morgan, who died in 2022. He performed in Morgan Heritage alongside his siblings Una Morgan, Roy “Gramps” Morgan, Nakhamyah “Lukes” Morgan and Memmalatel “Mr. Mojo” Morgan. At the time of his death, he was one of three active members of the group, along with Gramps and Mr. Mojo.

The musician was born in Brooklyn but raised in Massachusetts, where he began playing music as a child. It was during a visit to their father’s birthplace in Jamaica that the siblings really began to find their rhythm. With Morgan at the helm as lead singer, Morgan Heritage became known for his soulful vocals and harmonies.

Morgan Heritage has been nominated for two Grammy Awards during his career. Their album Strictly Rootsreleased in 2015, received the award for best reggae album.
