PERTURBAZIONE new album “La Buona Novella (live with Nada and Alessandro Raina)” is coming

Music news

PERTURBATION are back. 4 years after their last album of unreleased songs and on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the death of Fabrizio De André they publish “LA BUONA NOVELLA (LIVE WITH NADA AND ALESSANDRO RAINA)”.

The album, out on March 22, is a complete live, original and unreleased reinterpretation of Faber’s album of the same name released in 1970.

THE CHOICE

The choice of PERTURBAZIONE, a historic band on the Italian pop-rock scene, to reinterpret this album by De André represents a tribute to the musical legacy of one of the most important Italian artists of all time. The group’s decision to base the songs on their unique and unmistakable style adds a new dimension to the original work, without however sacrificing the message and depth of De André’s compositions which can be appreciated both by admirers of the Genoese singer-songwriter and by fans of PERTURBAZIONE .

“La Buona Novella”, De André’s fourth album from 1970 inspired by the apocryphal Gospels, is considered his most successful concept album, characterized by a great impact and musical depth thanks to folk influences and Gian Piero Reverberi’s orchestrations. It is a revolutionary work, which embodies De André’s anarchic, secular and earthly vision of the world, and the artist himself has defined it as his best work, comparing Jesus, the protagonist of the album, to the greatest revolutionary of the history.

The album was born from a unique live event commissioned to the band on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the release of “La Buona Novella” by Fabrizio De André, where Perturbazione together with Nada, Alessandro Raina of the Amor Fou group, the accordionist Dario Mimmo, the actress Paola Roman and Don Carlo Maria Scaciga performed live.
