PAOLA & CHIARA with BIGMAMA the single "The language of the body"

Body language is the title of the new single by Paola & Chiara feat. BigMama (out September 20).

We met Marianna in 2023 at the Roma Pride and we were truly impressed by her grit and crazy presence.

Since then we started thinking about a piece together and finally here we are.

Spending time in the studio and seeing her at work made us feel close to her both artistically and humanly.” – Paola & Chiara say.

With its catchy chorus and compelling sounds that will never leave your head, Il lingua del corpo is a powerful, straight-ahead hymn to femininity in all its nuances that, thanks to the production of Starchild and the pen of Paola & Chiara and BigMama themselves with Federica Abbate, Jacopo Ettorre and Alessandro La Cava, explodes in the hypnotic voices of the Iezzi sisters and in the sharp bars of Marianna.

The piece was born from mutual respect. First of all I love that there is collaboration between women in music to give strength to the concept of female empowerment.

And above all I have been listening to Paola & Chiara since I was little and I see myself in their battles for the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community. I find that we have in common the desire to make people feel comfortable through our music.

They sent me the song and I immediately wrote a verse about it, inspired by all those people whose bodies don't conform to society's standards.

We often get criticism from people who are much more insecure than us and with this verse I want to assert with irony and strength the importance of having a body and occupying a space in the world”. – explains BigMama.
