Ozzy Osbourne – Patient Number 9

Music news

Discover Patient Number 9, Ozzy Osbourne’s new album, in which he surrounds himself with a renowned cast to better highlight his songs imbued with darkness.

For all kinds of reasons, including medical ones, we should not expect a plethora of albums from the “Prince of Darkness” Ozzy Osbourne in the years to come, and the latter is probably more aware of it than anyone. We might as well take full advantage of this new delivery, which will be done without difficulty as the small dishes have been put into the big ones.

In terms of casting, obviously, a host of guitarists coming to play solo after solo (Jef Beck, Mike McCready, Eric Clapton, Zakk Wylde, Tony Iommi), while the spicy Chad Smith and the metallic Robert Trujillo provide… their backs, when they are not deputized by the late Taylor Hawkins or Duff McKagan.

Nothing was left to chance either in terms of the compositions, each one more solid than the other and often boasting astonishing melodic twists on the choruses. The partial use of auto-tune on the voice ofOzzy Osbourne Don’t even come to spoil the party, that’s saying something!
