NOTHING BUT THIEVES the first of two concerts in Milan (Info, setlist and tickets)

Music news

This evening, February 26th, there will be the first of Nothing But Thieves’ two concerts in Milan.

Nothing But Thieves will tour their fourth album “Dead Club City”, released on June 30th. Also included are the two singles “Welcome to the DCC” and “Overcome”.

With lyrics of great social impact and a deft ability to progress their sound and experiment between the different genres that characterize them as a band, Nothing But Thieves showcased their loudest and most sinister sound and returned with “Welcome to the DCC”, marking an innovative new chapter with their fourth album “Dead Club City”.

“Dead Club City” is an 11-track concept album in which the band chronicles the members-only club ‘Dead Club City’. The tracklist and general narrative of the album are made up of different characters and narrative arcs concerning this city.
Is it a shared consciousness? Another planet? A place where there are no offices? Heaven? Or somewhere different or far away?

Using the club as a focal point, it is easy to understand the metaphor behind the “Dead Club City”: themes such as advertising, cohesion, the Internet, the music industry, old age and politics, as well as the desire to escape and change, are highlighted from the alienation, or privilege, of being part of an exclusive club.
