This Christmas gift from the ex-Oasis guitarist allows his fans to listen to his cover in studio version. Earlier in 2023, the High Flying Birds performed it with the BBC Orchestra.

This cover comes following Council Skies, Noel Gallagher’s new album. Recorded at Lone Star Sound Recording Studio in London, this disc was produced by musician and Paul “Strangeboy” Stacey. It features orchestration done at the famous Abbey Road Studios.

Johnny Marr, prolific solo musician in addition to having been guitarist for The Smiths, appears on three tracks on the record, including “ Pretty Boy “. We also find the singles “I’m Not Giving Up Tonight”, “Dead to the World”, “ Easy Now » or even “Open The Door, See What You Find”.

It’s a return to basics”said the former Oasis guitarist about the album. “Dreaming, looking at the sky and wondering about what life could be…this is as true for me today as it was in the early 1990s. When I grew up in poverty and unemployment, music got me out of this situation. »
