No Doubt will reform at Coachella

Music news

For the first time in almost 10 years, No Doubt will play live at the Coachella festival.

Nearly ten years after the Anaheim pop-ska group last performed together, No Doubt will return to the stage at Coachella 2024.

The news was announced Tuesday when the annual festival’s lineup was released, which includes Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator and Doja Cat as headliners. The event will also feature Blur’s first US concert in nine years, as well as the reunion of Sublime with Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob as frontmam.

Although the program does not specify which members of No Doubt will be performing again, the group announced their reunion earlier Tuesday on social media. The music video began with a trip down memory lane by Gwen Stefani, who shared artwork from the album Beacon Street Collection, released in 1995. Nostalgic, the singer sent a message to bassist Tony Kanal to ask him to call the rest of the team. With the entire quartet (including guitarist Tom Dumont and drummer Adrian Young) on video chat, Stefani asked, “ What are we doing ? Why don’t we spend time together? » Finally, after some discussions, each member agreed that a proper meeting was necessary.
