Michael Jackson remains one of the best-selling and most influential artists of all time, although his career has been marked by controversy. It remains to be seen how the project will address the multiple child sexual abuse allegations that surfaced against Jackson during his lifetime and after his death, if the film addresses the issue at all. The singer and his estate have repeatedly denied the allegations, which came under intense scrutiny following the release of the documentary Leaving Neverland in 2019.
