NOT JUST MUSIC

Not just music at MArteLive but also street art with some of the best artists on the national contemporary scene: Solo, Diamond and Moby Dick who will perform live together with the emerging artists selected through the contest.

Born in 2001 from an idea of the artistic director Peppe Casa, MArteLive is created with the contribution of the Ministry of Culture, the Lazio Region and the Metropolitan City of Rome as part of the Together We Are Art project created by the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital and ATCL. Since the first edition, it has been conceived and thought of as a total show in which all the arts and the artists who represent them enter into an empathetic synergy: MArteLive is the merry-go-round of the muses, the exchange between one aesthetic language and another. All the artistic sections are expertly blended together in a game of artistic forces and synesthetic balances which, evening after evening, room after room, create unrepeatable emotions in their essence.
In Peppe Casa’s original idea, the intent was to weave an imaginary thread to harmoniously unite the individual performances: “23 years later, the thread continues to remain tight. The difference of this format, which is also its strength, is the ability at each event to propose something different that intrigues the public, offering a unique sensorial experience. The multidisciplinarity of the show we present is extremely difficult to put into practice, perhaps the real success lies in the balance between the arts that is created; and exclusivity is being able to do it every time in a new and surprising way thanks to the artistic talents that are involved from time to time.”
