MARKY RAMONE debuts as an artist: preview of the exhibition “Marky Goes Mental” in Milan

Music news

On the occasion of the Linecheck Festival and Milan Music Week, from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 November 2024, the famous Ramones drummer, Marky Ramone, will present his first graphic art exhibition in Milan.

The exhibition, curated by Rebel House and Henry Ruggeri, features seven marker drawings made by Marky Ramone (stage name of Marc Steven Bell), who for the first time takes on the role of graphic artist.

The works, characterized by a colorful and rebellious style inspired by post-punk, come to life thanks to the technology of the Notaway app, which uses augmented reality, virtual reality and artificial intelligence. By framing the drawings with the app, visitors will be able to see the works come alive with swirls of color and listen to musical excerpts from the songs that marked Marky Ramone's career.

THE ARTIST

Marky Ramone, born in New York in 1956, was the drummer for the Ramones from 1978 to 1996, helping to define the history of punk rock. In 2002, Marky entered the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Ramones.
