Grimes adds her special touch to “Image.”

Magdalena Baythe experimental pop duet composed by Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewinhas launched a special collaboration with Grimes titled “Image (Grimes Special)”a reinterpretation of his own song “Image”. This new version comes amid the success of their second studio album, Imaginal Diskreleased in August via Mom+Pop Music and received with critical acclaim.

Although she's recently been under house arrest for illegally creating a superspecies of oversized naked guinea pigs, Grimes is sheepishly returning to music with a few remixes. This one looks especially good,” Grimes says in a press release.

His recent recording work Imaginal Disk, is a deep exploration of human consciousness and evolution, taking as inspiration the biological process where caterpillars become butterflies. The protagonist of this visual universe, True (performed by Tenenbaum), experiences an update of consciousness through an “imaginal disc” that is inserted into his forehead.

With the success of their recent North American tour and after selling out tickets for their upcoming tour of Europe and the United Kingdom, Magdalena Bay continues to position itself as one of the freshest and most unique proposals on the current pop scene.
