This is an extract from Chrysalis, his new studio album, available since the end of January. Although this is his fourth album, this disc nevertheless marks a total artistic rebirth on the part of Louis Arlette. “I really came back to the source of what made me love French song: the text” he explains in an interview with the editorial staff. “I didn’t want to put (my lyrics) to music at first. Then the rhythm of the words calling out to each other made me think it was musical. (…) This makes it my most personal, most intimate and even most intimate record. »

We also find the first extract, “Lapis Lazuli”, unveiled in December 2023. This title also marked a break in the musician’s work. It arrived after EP 5, in which certain old songs, notably “La Rage”, were presented in a new form.
